 Badge Making
I conducted free community badge making workshops free of charge within the Taranaki region from 2015-2018. workshops focused on creative play for both children and adults. participants experimented with color, texture, pattern and basic elements of design. This form of making offered a sensory experience sparking imagination and self-expression.  Participants were encouraged to work at their own pace to using a wide variety of resource to embellish and decorate a badge to proudly wear. These workshops were facilitated  Over 2000 of the badges were photographed as a record and resource, the experience and resulting images have given me a broader insight into the creative process which in turn has influenced my own practice introducing me to a more free and material based way of making.
This format has been adapted as a method of crowd sourcing design for larger collaborative project called
