This houses a collection Contemporary art from around the 1960s onward
and made for a excellent contrast my afternoon visit to the Pinothek Alte which showed dense and meticulously stylised works from the from the early renaissance and florentine painters.

I visited the Museum late night to see the Cy Twombly exhibition  which showed work which excuded material presence which called for serious close inspection however in my excitement I embarrassingly set the alarms of twice... not a cool thing to do! anyway This museum was well worth the visit. the Twombly retrospective showed the breadth of the artist practice from sketches to grafitti photography I especially enjoyed the sculptural works using everyday /low class objects from the artists every day life.
